A grant for Playing for cognition!

Tanja and colleagues have received an Applied Data Science grant award for Playing for Cognition: working toward better statistical models predicting cognitive outcome in participation using machine learning.

With this grant, we can now analyze our data from our previous studies in collaboration with the WKZ. These studies aimed to assess (and train) cognitive functions in children with congenital heart disease (CHD), prematurely born children, and children who suffered a stroke.

With this new grant, we can fully focus on statistical models that can help us predict cognitive functioning in daily activities of these children. In upcoming weeks we can welcome a new lab member to help us with this project
